Howard Zail, partner at Elucidor, will be presenting ideas on predictive analytics in long-term care at the 2012 Society of Actuaries (SOA) annual conference. He will present on Tuesday, October 16 in “Session 112: Hot Topics in Long Term Care Insurance.”
Howard will describe how advances in predictive analytics can be applied in an insurance environment and will show how these techniques can help an insurance company produce more accurate pricing and valuation assumptions compared to traditional actuarial techniques. In particular, he will show how Bayesian methods can help the long-term care industry improve its pricing bases using far less data than would typically be expected.
Following the conference, we will publish Howard’s presentation on this website.
